What we collect
Only the information needed to understand your inquiry and deliver the engagement: contact details, organizational context, and the records you choose to share with us.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Clients come to us at sensitive moments. How we receive, hold and protect what you share with us is as important as the advice we give.
Engaging with us
Private inquiries are handled personally by a practice partner, never by a call centre or automated intake.
For exploratory or urgent questions
A short, private call, without the need for a full consultation. It can be exploratory, to talk through a situation and whether we are the right fit, or focused on an immediate, urgent issue your office is facing right now, so you leave with clear direction on your next step.
For broader needs
A structured session for larger projects or multiple services, ending with a written scope and fee proposal before any work begins.
How we handle information
Only the information needed to understand your inquiry and deliver the engagement: contact details, organizational context, and the records you choose to share with us.
Client and candidate information is kept in secure, access-controlled business systems, with data stored in Canada wherever possible. Files are never kept on personal accounts or shared drives outside our control.
Access is limited to the practice partners working on your engagement, each bound by a written confidentiality agreement. We do not sell, rent or trade information, and we never disclose a client relationship without your consent.
Information is retained only as long as the engagement and any legal obligations require, then securely destroyed. Candidate information from a search is disposed of when the search closes, unless the candidate agrees otherwise.
We handle personal information in accordance with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. You may ask to see or correct the information we hold about you at any time.
Kindly note
Before accepting any engagement, we complete a conflict of interest check to make sure we can act for you without compromising another client's confidence. We may ask for the name of your organization and of the other parties involved.
Until that check is complete, we ask that your first message share only general details, and that names and sensitive information wait until we confirm we are able to assist. If we cannot act for you, we will tell you promptly, without disclosing why.
